Discovery Day @ INTI College Subang Jaya

Have you ever thought of what college do you wanna get in when you graduate from Secondary school? Have you ever thought of what's your interest, what course do you want to apply in the future?

Yesterday, INTI College Subang Jaya organized this event named Global Experience Discovery Day. Form 5 students from Kwang Hua were invited to join this event so I decided to give it a try!

This is the new building of INTI College! I heard that it costed around 50 Million! *Faints*

Inside of the campus is awesomeeee! Although its kinda squashy for Kwang Hua students to fit in lol.

First of all we went for a mini tour around the Campus and later, we gathered at the auditorium to split into different workshops.

I was really happy to meet the sweetie pie Grace here! It's been awhile x0x0. She also owns an amazing blog, check it out here!

There were 9 kinds of workshop, but I only remembered like......5 of them???? Which are:
 1. Pasta Mama Mia
 3. Mixology and Multisensory
 4. CSI
 8.  Aeronautics
 9. Life as a College Student

 Guess which one I chosen?

Mixology and Multisensory is a workshop that teaches you how to use your 5 senses: Smell, See, Touch, Taste and Hear. Besides, this workshop also teaches you how to make your own Mocktails!(Non-alcoholic cocktails)

There's actually a bar here at INTI?! I was pretty shocked to be honest.

Each of us were divided into groups of 5-8. Our table!

The first activity was to blindfold one of the group members and smell or taste the spices given. I was the first victim, or maybe volunteer lol.

I hate being blindfolded lol it makes me feel so insecure.

The spices given.
I only managed to guess 3/5, which are 1. Cinnamon, 3. Chilli and 5. Pepper.

The next one was to guess the syrups given.

I managed to guess 4/5, which are 2. Vanilla, 3. Cinnamon, 4.Strawberry, 5. Chocolate!

After the first session, we gathered in front to watch Mr. Gobein introducing and doing demos for us.

A huge variety of Mocktail Syrups!

Rose Mary, Mint leaves and Basil leaves.

He made a few Mocktails for us to have a try, he also taught us steps and skills of making Mocktails.

A plain mocktail is not enough!

Add on a little Rose Mary to spice it up!

Other than that, we also tried toning the Mocktails into different colours!
Add in a little Blue Curacao (some kind of flavoring syrup) using a Bar spoon.

 OMBRE?????!?

Later on, we also got a chance to make our own Mocktails! All the equipments we needed were prepared on our table.

Soda, fruit juice and the Boston shaker.

How to make a basic Mocktail?
By Anne Collins. lol.

1. Squash a little mint/ basil leaves and squeeze half a lime and into the Boston shaker. (At your own preference)

 2. Pour some syrup (Any flavors you like) into the jigger (measurer) and pour some fruit juice into the Boston Shaker. Add in a little ice.

 3. Cover the lid of the Boston Shaker, make sure it's covered tightly.

 4. Shake it for like 10-15 seconds until it's even, do not shake for too long.

5. Pat the glass cup gently to release the pressure inside. Sieve away the ice, lime and mint leaves

 TAADAAAAAA!

Our very first Mocktail! (Lychee + Blueberry + Grape fruit-Passion fruit juice + Mint + Lime)

The first round tastes a little too dilute so we decided to try a second round!

The second round was a success! We added a little Rose Mary to spice up the whole Mocktail! (Lychee + Grape fruit + Grape fruit-Passion fruit juice + Lime + Basil leaves)

THE TASTE OF HEAVEN ;P

 Our team!

 KWANG HUA FTW!

We looked like we're promoting MONIN Mocktail syrup lol.

Thank you Mr. Gobein for such a great tutorial! It was a really good experience for me ;D

Of course, I have to thank his students for helping out with our process on making the Mocktails!

At INTI, Education is a Global Experience. I was glad that I get to take part in this workshop, gained hell lot of experiences here! Would definitely involve myself into workshops like this next time ;)

Thank you for reading! Btw, what do you think about my new header?
